John Quarmby, a collier of Rosbottom, married Hannah ? and they had the following children:

• James Quarmby, b. 1810 at Stalybridge.
• John Quarmby, b. 29th July, 1812 at Stalybridge.
• William Quarmby, b. 1815 at Stalybridge, baptized April 2nd at St George's, Stalybridge.
• Hannah Quarmby, b. 1818 at Stalybridge.
• Mary Ann Quarmby, b. 1822.
